Garden State Trout

Just to let everyone know that Manahawkin,NJ got pounded by rain at about 3:30 until 4:15 PM. I looked at Ramapo River and they seemed to get nothing. Like wise BFB and the South Branch. We need some rain dancers on this site to get some rain onto the streams. We do not need rain down here but could use it in central and north Jersey. So let’s get those dancers going. Bill

I'm on LBI and we got hammered lots of flooding but that happens every time it rains here. But I do think the Northern rivers got a good drink yesterday

All you have to do is spit on the LBI Blvd. and it floods. My daughter has a house in Surf City. Will probably go to Wally’s for lunch today or tomorrow.

We got 4/10" of rain yesterday here in the headwaters and the SBR is running above median flows as it has basically all year so far. It is 79 cfs today when median flows are only about 62 cfs. Similarly, the Musky is flowing at 165 cfs when normal for today is about 138 cfs. The Flatbrook is the same, higher than normal at 53 cfs versus a norm of about 46 cfs. But we have heat coming and less rain predicted so far in the coming week, so that is worth watching if anyone is still trout fishing this summer.

Yeah it poured here in Morristown yesterday......for about 10 minutes. Time to go warm water fishing or find the rare cold trib. But of course you'll still see "sports" fishing the TCA's, spitting out bogus thermometer readings. Besides if you stress a fish out at 5 am in 66 degree water how do you think it's going to fare later that day when the water temp pushes over 70?
